The current major parties standing are the Aam Admi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The PM candidates are Arvind Kejriwal and Narendra Modi respectively.
From my point of view, Kejriwal wants to open up the government completely and bring it to real democracy and Modi wants to do what any typical party wants to do. But on the negative side, Kejriwal has more to it because he slightly betrayed the trust of almost the entire nation. People counted on him so much and he dumped it all with his thoughtless resignation. As we usually say, people have a lot of trust issues with him. Modi doesn’t have that disadvantage though. Moreover, since BJP has been the major opposition for Congress at all times in Indian history, they’re more likely to come at them with their all.
This elections has sure given us all a broader view on the reality of the country’s’ status and its possible future paths. It showed us the fundamental nature of politics, the people in it and the motives of them all.
