What comes to your mind immediately when you think about Syria? Yes, a lot. 99% nothing pleasant too. Let me now introduce you to one more thing.
Eleven thousand prisoners were eliminated by the Syrian government in duration of about two years i.e. from March 2011 to August 2013. All the prisoners were eliminated by “Systematic killing” as it is being referred to as now in Assad jails.
The reports haven’t been confirmed as of yet but these reports were compiled by three international war crime prosecutors with the photos and data provided by the photographer (Name given: Caesar) employed by the government to photograph the corpses as a proof of elimination of the prisoner and also to keep count.
Who is 'Caesar'?
· Source of roughly half of the 55,000 images
· Military police photographer who worked for the government for 13 years
· Since uprising of March 2011, his job was to photograph bodies of detainees believed to have died under torture
· "Significant number" of bodies show signs of starvation, other injuries include burns, bruising, gouged eyes, ligature marks indicating strangulation, and signs of electrocution
· Sent images to relative by marriage outside Syria
·"Caesar" and family smuggled out after he feared for his safety and amid psychological strain of work
Source : BBC News
Caesar photographed an average of about 50 bodies a day. I really have nothing to add to that statement. He however stated that he had not witnessed any personal torture but the corpses had pictures of strain around the necks and also signs of torture on various parts of the body.
The families of the prisoners were informed that they died due to breathing problems and such. This is really sad news to all the people around the world. Human rights activists find this hard to even digest to actually fight against it.

They have also mentioned that world peace is a distant dream for us looking at such incidents happening around us.
I am not sure how this didn’t strike the news earlier. Also, as many as 11,000 families were informed and no suspicion rose. Was this due to the complete oppression of the government or is there something more to this that we don’t know?
The government of Qatar actually framed this report and the Syrian government still refuses to accept this stating:
“If Qatar financed this report, there is no credibility because Qatar is one of the states who financed international terrorism and who sent killers to Syria. We have professional killers inside Syria from around the world. We are defending ourselves."
However there is concrete evidence for the killings and torture but there however is no evidence for the source. The various governments of the world as well as the United Nations and other Human Rights organizations are in the wait for this to be proved to take a definite action against this brutal massacre.
