Widespread demonstrations were done by fans before the opening ceremony and both the Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff and FIFA President Sepp Blatter were clearly booed by fans. Well, I don’t think anybody likes Blatter in the footballing fraternity anymore while all we wonder is how bad do people have it in Brazil. It is quite bad, in a nation where all the resources mostly financial are being extracted out of the population of Brazil by overtaxing them and overpricing the basic necessities in the name of preparation of the country for the World Cup. No wonder next year’s tourism would see Brazil flourish financially but do the people need to suffer so bad at the moment? Every decision always has some opposition, but judging by the number of protesters, I’d say the Brazilian committee got it wrong with the financial allocations.
