We've been into the whole illegal music downloading scene for far too long and curbing our wickedness seems like a much harder task now than before. Like we all know, keeping it real takes effort and money. Since we're perpetually in the negatives for the latter, the question of paying for music never comes up. So let's talk about an option we have called podcasts.
It surprises me, in this mad-about-social-media world, the number of people who don't know what podcasts are. So, laying a start, Merriam Webster defines it as a program (as of music or talk or video) made available in digital format for automatic download over the Internet. They're basically radio talk-shows, but live in that place we love called the Internet. The most popular platform to download podcasts is iTunes and music podcasts are the most downloaded even though you have news, religion, politics, comedy.. heck you even have a Game of Thrones podcasts with after show analysis of an episode like it's some Champions League match.

That said, podcasts are that rare combo of something that is completely legal and yet really really good at the same time. I'm talking about music podcasts here, unless you're into listening to why Berlusconi served thrice as prime minister despite his oh-so-glorious a background. The sad part for some and the absolutely amazing part for others is that podcasts focus on the EDM industry a lot. The number of podcasts that are shed out every week from the likes of Above & Beyond, Nicky Romero & Hardwell will keep you happy for more than a lil while and you could end up listening to the same one or two hour podcast for months. These artists usually do mixes of music that they're listening to and you're guaranteed to be listening to something brand spanking new. For the rest of us who need our bit of country, indie and metal, stick to radio shows and 8tracks to keep it real or dig through iTunes to find something worth listening to. For those who've never listened to a whole podcast.. Here's Hardwell On Air picked up from YouTube to show you what I'm talking about.
To ensure the best quality podcasts and ease of management, download them from iTunes if you do have it on your system. If you don't have iTunes and you were smart enough not to buy an iPhone, you have iPP Podcast Player for Android and Windows where you can search and download most of the podcasts available on iTunes.
