I don’t understand how people define rock. I always emphasize that rock isn’t a mere genre that is cruelly stereotyped by your racist iTunes. It is a way of life; an uncontrollable emotion; rock is love and rock is all the elements of being combined in an unconfined fire.

Every piece of music ever created represents a memory. It could be a mind-boggling/life-altering/nerve-wracking series of events or maybe just a regular, lazy, Sunday afternoon spent in blissful isolation away from the casual humdrum of the world. Nevertheless, everyone associates music to one thing or the other. It is an unavoidable predicament, a strange and almost unconceivable function that the human brain performs. By Yamini Gaur
Someone once pointed out to me that there exist mainly two types of people in the world: the ones who listen to Pink Floyd and the ones who feel it. By Yamini Gaur
The 1960s fell pretty heavy on the shoulders of parents worldwide as their daughters began to swoon to the throaty treble of Elvis Presley’s voice. The 1960’s bore down even more heavily as their sons began to gyrate relentlessly in the same opulent fashion with their hair swept back by awfully huge amounts of gel. By Philip Joseph
I remember listening to this guy couple of years back, whose stage name I never quite got till I asked a friend. Apparently, 'Deadmaufive' wasn't the way it was pronounced. With only a couple more days to go, India is going to be welcoming one of the most popular artists in the fast paced EDM industry, Deadmau5 aka Joel Thomas Zimmerman, for a 3 city tour happening in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi on the 14th,15th and the 16th. So who is Deadmau5? And what does he do? By Aman Mittal
There was once a table full of opinionated people with whom I was conversing and the topic of music came around. I write about music not because it is nonchalantly easy, far from it but because my boss likes it. My boss and my colleagues think that music is an essential part of life and today I am going to write about two of the best songs doing the rounds – Chaar Botal Vodka and Babydoll. To begin with some astounding stats about the stars of the songs : By Aman Mittal
I was talking to a friend recently and we were discussing all the bands we used to listen to and how the tastes have changed. The name that struck me most was Trivium. They were apparently considered to be the “Next Metallica” by many music magazines, whatever that means. Nonetheless, they are a good bunch of lads who put together jaw dropping Metalcore music. Formed in 2000, Trivium has certainly has only gone one way and that is up. Thus, after our conversation I went back and downloaded their new album VENGEANCE FALLS. It was rather different from their previous work but heavy. |
