The year ends and what a year it has been. When it comes to music we saw a lot of albums, singles, performances come and go. In a year when DJ Hardwell became the no. 1 DJ and Metallica played a concert in Antarctica. Funny how time goes by. So this time I bring to you a list of the top rated albums by users and even critic scores as seen on http://www.albumoftheyear.org . Pretty awesome site for all music lovers. It gave me immense help in compiling this and presenting it in an ordered format. Feel free to comment with your favourite music/album for this year and check out some of the ones mentioned here.

I am sure for many including myself this list was a surprise, which only shows how restricted our music library is even when we think we have heard enough. The list gives you an opportunity to explore new music and this surely gives me a chance to give more such articles in the future.

timberlake's album isnt in the top .... i am not even a fan and even i know that it deserves to be there.

now... my biggest and most major concern.

Marshal Mathers LP II !!!!!!!
One of the BEST rap album of the year, okay i get it that its subjective and my opinion but the album was FANTASTIC, raps were amazin. Should have atleast been mentioned. This album was a gentle, okay not really gentle more like vulgar reminded to people what rap is.

Well, this wasn't my personal choice but whatever users voted on the site. Hence I included the according to user/ critic part. And Thanks for the comment. Always good to know. And I agree about the Eminem album. Brilliant.

Disclosure's "Settle" was absolutely brilliant, so was Andrew Bayer's masterpiece "If It Were You We'd Never Leave".
