Let’s just start off with how brilliantly the writers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas framed the title of this show. As progressing through this brilliant series I felt the loosening of the title’s grip on the series, but later today after watching the *Last Forever* episode, I fell for the genius in it. The title just is as simple as it sounds, How I met your mother, it doesn’t imply the mother’s death or any other part of the series which the series tries to show.
It was definitely one of the best comedy series of this time and it definitely caught the heart of millions of people across the globe. It brought to us the brilliant Barney Stinson, totally changing our opinion on the name Barney from *Barney & Friends*. Man, the name Barney has been with me all through my life until now. It brought to us the brilliant couple, Marshall and Lily, regardless of their weird characterizations they definitely showed the people what love is and how relationships can be a source of immense strength. It brought us Ted, our everyday guy. It brought us Robin, in my opinion one of the most complex characters I have seen in a TV show. Cobie Smulders did an amazing job right from the first to the last episode.
Now let us come to the series plot itself, it starts of centering around these amazing people in their youth doing LEGEN-wait for it cause this thing lasted for 9 complete seasons-DARY stuff. Right of bringing laughter and taking us through emotional rides, this show has given us all. The last few episodes of the last season covered many of the mysteries including Barney’s occupation. However, we know nothing of the pineapple yet.
About Ted and Robin, remember in a certain episode, even after Robin and Barney were in love, Marshall said that maybe Ted and Robin aren’t over yet. That stood true didn’t it? They were always meant for each other. Right from the start they had been there showing complex emotions with such grace. How the story is ribbon and surrounds itself over it and makes a beautiful bow tie and how the bow tie finally just comes out in just one pull is what is How I met your mother.

However, the last season did drag on the wedding weekend a lot but the wait was, in my belief, worth it for the last episode. It takes more than just a few minutes for all of this to sink in. Also, the series did look like it came to a screeching halt in the last season. I personally wish they had showed the mother and ted’s story a bit more, but considering the main plot of the story to be how Ted always loved Robin, it’s perfect.
For those who haven’t seen this series, Please do. For those who have but not the last episode, OMG Not yet? For those who have and seen the last episode, Feel free to use the napkins and towels all you want.
