I was 7 when I read the first book, 8 when I saw the first movie and I knew I was hooked. It was going to be an epic era. A Magical, Unforgettable era. For 10 years we walked hand in hand, for 10 years whenever I was in need of a getaway I knew a book or movie was on its way. But then suddenly, before I could even prepare myself, it was over, the era had ended. I always thought it wouldn’t be, actually no, I always thought it would be a big deal and I was right. That dealing with something as big as this would not be easy and it wasn't.
As the ones who have been through the same journey as me must have guessed, I am talking about the Era of Harry Potter. From the first time we read the words ‘The boy who lived’ to the closing credits of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2’, it has been one remarkable journey. For millions of people around the world leading very different lives from each other, this was the one thing that brought us together.
Dealing with the end of the world of ‘Harry Potter’ is very difficult, but luckily we do not have to go through it yet, because somewhere in the offices of Warner Bros. sit angels who cannot see Harry Potter fans sad. Yes, you read it right, the magical journey is not over. The production house Warner Bros. has announced plans for creating a movie based on the book, “The Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, which appeared in the book “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” and was written by fictitious author Newt Scamander. It will be J.K. Rowling’s first attempt at screenplay. The thought that there are more movies on their way excites me to another level, and I bet it’s the same feeling each and every HP fan must have felt when they read this news for the first time.
When interviewed, Rowling explained, ”Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for 17 years, ’Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world. “ , she also said,” The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt’s story will start in New York, seventy years before Harry’s gets underway.”
