We all have lied to others and even to ourselves at least once till date. Those who say, “I never lie” are also lying. If you lie to someone and you make yourself feel good because what you said is a white lie, don’t be happy because a lie is a lie. I am not telling you not to lie. I am just holding the mirror in front of you to make you realize that you lie. I lie too, and I am agreeing to it! We all do. There are some hypocrites who would not tolerate a lie but would lie themselves. Our folks who teach us from the very beginning that lying is not a good thing have lied to us in so many ways that we can’t even imagine. Whether it be Santa Claus or whether it maybe the tooth fairy and sometimes if we didn’t listen to them, some devil or a ghost was to appear and eat us or vanish us. But looking it from another view, these lies were meant to instill the good habits and make us turn out to be who we are today.
So lying isn’t that bad after all. But hey I am not supporting the fact that one should lie. There are categories of lies if I sit to classify them, which I do not want to. Lies like, “hey you look so good in that outfit” is something you tell your best-friend because you know that she loves what she is wearing and the truth will just shatter her confidence. Now this case mostly happens with girls. But the point being there are other ways to convey something to someone by avoiding the lie. You always don’t need to punch the person hard on their face with the bitter truth. All you need to do is bend your finger a little to grab that last swipe of cheese from the empty jar a little hard. I personally HATE lies and people who know me well are now well acquainted with this fact. Honestly I get punched on the face and sometimes even in the stomach too hard with the bitter truths and yes, I feel like literally punching them back sometimes (actually most of the times). But then again would you like it if someone says something against or about you behind your back? Of course NO!
All I am saying is, don’t be afraid to speak out the truth, whether it be the pathetic marks you have ever score- go tell your parents, they won’t disown you and if they blast the fuck out of you, bear it because you know you deserve it. Or whether it be you cheating on your partner, tell him/her because lying makes things worse and not better, you can’t make it to someone’s most important day, tell them the truth because anger is something that cools down but grudges never back off. So go ahead and be a truth-teller.
Just saying- if you get slapped or thrown out of your house or dumped by your partner or even jailed, don’t blame me, because I was just suggesting. Read at your own interest and lie at your own risk. And for the rest if you have a firm mind of your own and you really think that one lie can make someone happy for a lifetime, then go ahead but just don’t make it a pile of lies and a mess which you will fail to clear.
