Hearing is an ability, comprehending is wisdom and listening is a skill. Did we all listen to our teachers when they spent hours teaching and explaining their subjects? Well, most of us didn't, we just heard them. Had we listened carefully, life would have been a tad bit better from an academic point of view, then and in the later stages.
But this is not as much of a concern in today’s society. Those days are left behind when an individual was judged majorly by his/her academics performance, and the trend of soft skills is taking its place instead. Soft skills are the personality traits of an individual which leave a good impression on the other person, and hence also provide great job prospects. They can be attitude, body language, fluency in speaking, and many more, the most important being the skill to listen.
